Can I have same managed placements in two (or more) different adgroups

Hi All,

I hope, you all are doing good Smiley Happy

I'm here with another query that might look silly but I think every single query has its own impact. I just want to confirm can I've same managed placements in two or more different adgroups? If yes, then what would be impact of having these placements in different adgroups?

I'll be more happy to hear from you all.

Thanks!

Regards, Anand

Hey Anand,

With the introduction of Display Network Tab and some major changes which happened last year, you can target same managed placement under different ad groups at ad group level.

The fact remains that only one ad per account is allowed to trigger an ad from your Display Campaign. So that means based on the relevancy factor which Adwords calculates everytime, the most relevant ad from your ad group on that particular managed placement will get a chance during the ad auction. That's my understanding.

Hope that helps!

Pankaj

Hey Anand,

Actually, that makes sense since you can place different keywords in each ad group, and ad appropriate for the page content would be shown instead of the same ad showing always showing on that site.

Best of Luck!
