Hi Sourav,

Google display network will be a great channel if the primary purpose of your campaign is branding. This is mainly because of two reasons.

1. The reach - As per Double Click Ad Planner Google Display Network reaches 83% of unique internet users around the world.

2. Ad formats - You can use a variety of ad formats including text, image and video. This will help you to grab customer attention and will give exposure to your brand at every available ad space.

The ultimate challenge is establishing your Brand with values. Advertising medium such as adwords will help you to give exposure to your brand. But the true branding is a bigger challenge. The brand is your identity that connects you with your customers. Once you are successful in that, sales will follow.

Please go through this help center article which will give you some more information.

Hello and welcome,

If your main objective is branding, try Google Display Network:

http://www.google.com/ads/displaynetwork/

It is the richest source of giving a boost to your brand which you are looking to promote. Just make sure that you are creating a separate Google Display Network campaign and not a combined campaign targeting search and display network together.

Google Display Network will give you a great platform for branding.

And Google Search Network will help you to target customers searching with intent to buy products spontaneously.

And remarketing will be a great tool to target your website visitors who may not buy something during their first visit (very important at the initial stages as you are building your brand/trust with your customers.)

So ideally you should start to use these three distinguished channels with separate campaigns and strategies.

Search, Display & Remarketing

Best of luck..!

As others told that "Display campaign" are good for branding, but they also brings sales. So they will full-fill both purpose. But if you want sale then also go for search campaign  and you can also start remarketing. These can increase your sales & conversion.
