CPC when running Conversion Optimizer

Hi

If I have a campaign that's using Conversion Optimizer - does the value in 'Max CPC' or 'Max CPM' have any effect ?

Will the Conversion Optimizer override these based on the 'Target CPA' or will they limit CPC and CPM in any case ?

Thanks

K

Hey Kay,

Conversion Optimizer is now called Target CPA bidding. If you have this enabled then your max cpc bids won't have any effect as AdWords will automatically set the CPC each time an ad is eligible to appear. You can limit CPCs if you are using a portfolio target CPA bid strategy however it is not recommended because it may restrict AdWords automatic optimization. Also note that any bid adjustments that you have in place will be ignored unless it is mobile -100%.
