Brand targeting and adword policy question

I created an adgroup to target a competitors brand. It's performing well.

I don't mention the competitors brand in the ad, obviously.

However, I have a text ad, using keyword insertion {keyword: New Widget}.

But now when somebody searches "Brand New Widget", my headline mentions their brand.

What do I do in this instance? Am I breaking Adwords policies?

Hello,

I wouldn't suggest using DKI when you are targeting your competitors'brand name. Instead, you should be using your own brand name in the title and highlight your website services. That's one of the practice followed most of the times.
