1. In Organic results Google prefers https over http websites, is that the same case with Paid results as well?

2. Does https affect user behavior as well? if a user sees he is browsing through https website, will there be more likelihood of conversions?

Hi there;
In Adwords only the transaction page or the sign up page has to be SSL secured.
Currently secured content on a website has no effect on the QS (at let Google hasn't said anything about it)

Recent webmaster guideline, If possible, secure your site's connections with HTTPS. Encrypting interactions between the user and your website is a good practice for communication on the web. but not sure what is impact on quality score of Adwords campaign.

Hi @swapnil s

As @MosheTLV said, there's no effect of a https website on QS. I agree with it. To your second question, I do personally feel that it does affect user experience positively. If not much, it at least wins your visitors' confidence about the security on your website. And that's not a small thing, your very first impression works to impress your visitors.

Further, it's very easy to setup a website online these days, just a matter of a few dollars and one is up. In this context, if I personally see an SSL enabled website, it assures me that the business in question is serious about its users and their experiences. It takes a few additional steps and investment to set up https. You need a dedicated IP, SSL certificate, and ownership verification.

So yes, it sets you apart, at least to some extent.

My two cents.

Thanks

Anything to help your effort along, just like adding a Semantic seal, especially for an ecommerce website. And now in some browsers there is a red cross across the address bar for http urls.
