Another competitor just opened and is consistently on top rank. What am I doing wrong? More $$? Thanks

Hi @Jennifer K,

I would like to highlight some unique features about AdWords.

AdWords gives instant results regardless of the time period.

You have full control for when, where and whom to show the ads; your budget and bids.

Position of ads is determined by the Ad rank assigned by the Google.

The main components of Ad Rank are your bids, the quality of your ads and website, and the expected impact from your extensions and other ad formats.

So, I would recommend you to work on these components.

Improve bids, QS and use maximum possible ad extensions.

Note: Ad position does not matter, the thing matter is maximum ROI.

I usually get Good ROI with 3-4 positions though 1st is good for the brands.

Thank you. I'm using Adwords express. Should I use regular Adwords? And use
Extensions? I'm not sure express has that option. Also I'm running a call
only ad. Thanks for the input! J

Yes, AdWords Express is not having these features.

If you want to manage your own with full control and think that you can manage it better by your own then switch to AdWords.

If you want it get managed automatically to save your time then continue with AdWords Express.

Go through the comparison between AdWords Express and AdWords to know more about their unique features.

Hi Jennifer,

Based on the details provided in your post, your business looks competitive in NY area and on Search network. I would recommend you to use location extension, review extension and try using google maps ad.

Hope this helps!

Thanks,

Sakthi

Hi Jennifer,

While all the answers above will indeed put you on the right track to getting back in the game, I would like to address the actual question. Since I assume that you are busy with managing the company you founded I would advise you to hire an expert to manage your campaign if the budget allows it.

AdWords is very easy to start advertising on, but once you go all in, you need someone with the knowledge and expertise to make all those and many other nuanced changes to the campaigns in order to really get the maximum from AdWords - that exactly why there is an SEM/PPC manager profession.

Yes, you can learn it yourself, many such experts started out that with no knowledge, but since you already have a profession and likely do not have the time for that - I would advise to check if hiring is an option, and if so - leave it to him or her. An expert will also audit the account and performance helping you improve the campaigns and free you to deal with the actual managing of your company.

Hope that helps Smiley Happy
