....In other words, if a user lands on a landing page organically, are they counted in my audience list?   Or does a user need to come through PPC in order to be counted in my remarketing audience list.

thanks!

Hi Tudor,

Welcome to the community.

Any user visitng your website or landing page whose browser is accepting cookies is added to the list. He or she need not be a visitor through PPC for them to be added to your remarketing list.

Hello,

Nikhil is right here. Google will start building the cookies list from any source who visit your website pages where the remarketing tag is applied.

Read this excellent article from our TC Alumni Kim where she has written about how to make the best out of Remarketing.

Just a thought!

Hi Tudor,

I segment my re-marketing lists by first testing for presence of a gclid value in the query string. If it exists, I assign the value for paid search (AdWords), if not, I assign a value for "other" sources.

Best of Luck!

Pete
