Applying Labels to Ads

Hi,

In my account we have over 15k of ads.

The majority of them have labels such as:

- Original Ads

- Black Friday

- Cyber Monday

However there are a few thousand ads without any ads spread across many campaigns.

What is the best automated way to ad labels to these enabled ads?

Take too long to do it manually.

Any ideas appreciated guys, looked at Adwords Editor but can't see how I can do it in that either.

Thanks,

Darrell

Hi Darrel,

Well if you just looking to apply a generic label to all the non-labeled ads then you can simply do it on the interface.

select all online campaigns on the left hand side, go to the ads tabs. Create a filter and exclude all ads with a label. Then select the tick box in the top left corner to select all ads. a notification will appear telling you that all ads on this page are selected and give you an option to select all rows, including those on other pages. You can then apply your new label to all those ads in one go.

Hope this helps

Hi Darrell,

I think Clynton is right on. However, if you are comfortable with Apps Script/JavaScript, you can code criteria for selecting which items to tag.
