App Installs on Display
I am running an app install display campaign for an international calling app. Currently the campaign is only targeting placements (ie. other mobile apps). Is there an added benefit to add a layer of interest categories to this campaign?

Having placements+interests would further narrow your target audience, as your ads would show to users who fall under both categories. In this case, I'd suggest having a separate ad group, if appropriate category is available under In Market. Further, you can also try a combination of keywords+affinity to target users interested in your product and are on relevant placements.
