Hi Friends,

Is there any impact on lowering the CPC, if we use static destination URL instead of redirecting URL in the Adcopies?

Please explain

Thanks,

Ramesh

Hi there rockpitt Smiley Happy

There's another factor that you must consider when using redirects in your campaign URLs:

"The domain of your display URL must match the domain of your landing page URL (after any redirects)." This is taken from an article on the AdWords Policy Help Centre. Essentially, redirects for tracking purposes are fine so long as the final landing page has the same domain name as the display URL.

In relation to quality score, it might be a good idea to run an experiement with the static & redirecting URLs, by creating two brand new ads (or even by setting keyword level URLs) that are exactly the same but that have different destination URLs. Then monitor the performance over time.

Best of luck with it!

Hi Ramesh,

The Short ans is Landing page quality effect the CPC.

Landing Page Quality is one of the factor which Google consider before deciding how much you pay for click. If the Page quality is good you will be paying less. I recommend do A/B Testing your ads with both URLs( If thats an Option) Or Go to keywords tab and clicks in the Bubble speach icon to see the quality of your landing page Sroce is changed.

Thanks,
