Ad Schedule - When edited you loose your historical data?

When looking through client accounts one of the elements I optimise is the Ad Schedule area.

One thing that puzzles me is that when I make a changes to the Ad Schedule say from Mon-Sun 12-12 to Mon-Sun 5am-10pm I loose all the historical data for the previous ad schedule! Am I missing something? Is this data still saved somewhere in the interface? At the moment I export the data before the changes for reference...

Any help would be appreciated.

Kind Regards

Unfortunately you will lose your data when you make changes in your Adwords account. This is so your data is accurate to your current settings.

For example, if i have a broad match keyword which has 6 clicks and i then change it to an exact match, the data will reset as the 6 clicks are not an accurate assessment of how the exact match keyword is performing.

hope this helps

Hi Mark,

Unfortunately that is true. Data is not shown directly there but you do have schedule details where you can always check how the day of the week as well as hour of the day performed like this:-

Hope this would help you get the details and take informed decisions!
