Ad Extensions - direct away from landing page?

Hi There

I have a campaign where I'm trying to increase traffic and conversions....I was advised to use ad-extensions by a Google rep in order to increase quality score. My reservation is that they might encourage users away from my landing page where I want them to convert. A conversion is a request for an info pack. Am I old fashioned with this view? Perhaps allowing them to roam a bit more around the broader website might be beneficial?

Thanks for any thoughts

You're being old-fashioned.

Very few people actually click on sitelinks, but including any extension will probably increase CTR for the headline. Sitelinks will probably gain you more headline clicks then they cost you.

I am with Michael...Sitelinks generally see a CTR of less than 0.10%, but provide an excellent way to add additional details and credibility to your ads. Are you using Callout Extensions as well?
