About Quality Score

Hello Everyone,

My landing page goal is to generate sign-ups through a simple form, currently it has no captcha. My question is whether implementing a captcha will affect my quality score or not? Or will it have any other effect from AdWords perspective at all?

Thanks

Pankaj

Hi there;
Nope;
Remember that the predominant component of QS is CTR. Work on your CTR (Match types, negative keywords, relevant keywords...)

Hi Pankaj,

In my experience, there shouldn't be any problem. Using a captcha is not a bad practice at all. It helps fight spam, and that's completely fine in terms AdWords as well. But, you must make sure that it is not affecting the overall User Experience of your landing pages. Two important things to take care of would be -

  1. Website page speed (Make sure your pagespeed is not affected badly by it)
  2. UX, especially on mobile devices (Ensure your captcha does not impact UX)

Thanks
