10/10 Quality Score, Okay CTR but low average position?

Good Day,

I was hoping someone could assist me with the following.

I have been playing around with ad words for a while now. I'm running 4 x campaigns, 2 of which is important.

On the 2 x important ones I have 1 x Campaign with Quality scores of between 8 and 10 (on 4 x keywords) with a CTR of 7 - 10%, yet I average only a 3.7 rank.

On the other campaign I also have 4 x Keywords with a QSS of 9 - 10 and a CTR of 12 -18% and an average position of around 1.4 - 1.7.

My Questions are as follows.

  1. Why , is Campaign one averaging so low ?
  2. Should I rather spend more money on the campaign that is ranking higher (even though they serve 2 x products)?
  3. How can I achieve a higher average positions

Hi @Pieter S,

The position is of the ads is determined by the ad rank.

Ad rank further depends on Quality score, bids and the expected impact of ad extension and other ad formats.

Along with the QS, increase the bids and use ad extensions to rank better.
