¯\_(ツ)_/¯ GDN Targeting - What is the difference in these two values?

I am trying to target ONLY 65+.

There are two methods that i see in GDN ad groups

1) exclude 18-24,25-34,35-44, 45-54,55-64

OR

2) include ONLY 65+

What is the difference between the two? Do I need to implement BOTH?

The options include "Unknown"
Age ("18-24," "25-34," "35-44," "45-54," "55-64," "65 or more," and "Unknown")

Include ONLY 65+ is the correct way to go, because it is easiest to manage - clearer who you are targeting.

You could just exclude all the others, but make sure you also exclude "Unknown". However there is no benefit to choosing this way.
