We are having the exact same problem, putting the script and div together as outlined above, in footer.php and we're getting both JS errors thrown as well.

Hi James, thank you for the reply. Yes, we are using a WordPress installation on our own domain. 

 

I've tried the recommended script and div tags in footer.php, then when that didn't work for testing I moved it to before wp_footer(), then to the header, then enqued in functions.php, and finally in a separate template php file. They all returned the same two errors.

 

This has all been in my local environment, not in production or on the development server. If the script requires the client ID to be on a certain domain name, I can try it in production though since it breaks the rest of the footer I am not super keen to do so.
