I would like to transfer ownership of Google My Business account over to a gmail address specifically setup for this business. (adwords, analytics etc is setup under the business gmail account). I cannot find how to do this.

Justin, Basically what you need to do is request ownership transfer to your Google Apps email address. You will want to try and transfer ownership. Follow the instructions on that page. After you do this and email will be sent to you and the other email address which is the current owner. At that point, you may be able to just reply to the email granting consent. If not, wait 7 days and contact Google. Contact Google with these links: https://support.google.com/business/contact/business_c2c_na?hl=en&rd=1#cft=5 Alternatively, you can use this link: https://support.google.com/business/contactflow
