Would Separate Phone #s Eliminate Duplicate Location Issue

Hello community,

We are dealing with several duplicate location issues with Google My Business. Our company has two different brands that are both located in the same building. One is a business that sells fixtures to plumbers and contractors. The other sells high-end bathroom and kitchen fixtures for the retail public.

Currently, they have the same address and phone number. However, they do have separate entrances and the businesses are not attached with different counters and staff. I'm wondering if we got separate phone numbers will that increase the chances of removing this duplicate location issue?

Thank you.

@Splashes B yes that would likely help. It does sound though like this is one business with two lines of service: commercial and residential. Are they two legally separate entities? Or are they one business with two products/services?

Either way it might be a challenge to get Google to see them as separate. But yes a unique phone number will help.
