Two locations on map, one can't be found w/ mybusiness search

Hi All,

A business I am starting to help has two separate listings in Google, one of which I have management over and one which cannot be found when searching for it in the MyBusiness section. How can I merge these two locations?

https://www.google.com/maps/place/Movers,+Not+Shakers!/@40.676912,-73.9934187,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!... (This is the controlled one)

https://www.google.com/maps/place/Movers+Not+Shakers!+Inc./@40.6810958,-74.0042942,15z/data=!4m5!3m4... (This is the one I can't get control of)

Any help I can get on this would be great!

Hi @Collin S

This is your current verified page: https://plus.google.com/+Moversnotshakers/about

This is the verified duplicate ( inc ) : https://plus.google.com/108280078773468867849/about

Because the duplicate ( inc ) is verified, you will need to go through the motions of requesting ownership. When GMB removes the verified tab, you can then request business support to mark the page as Moved to the current verified page.

To start the ownership request follow these steps:

http://onlineownership.com/claim-ownership-of-a-verified-google-business-page/

When they eventually remove the verified status, then contact business support again to Move / Merge the page into the verified page

The current problem I have is that when I try to "find" this business in order to request ownership, the system cannot find it for me to request ownership of it. The only result that comes up is the one I already control. I don't know how I can claim ownership when Google won't even show it as a result for me when searching for it.

Oh Drats @Collin S

You are correct, the reason is that it is marked as a serviced area business, so won't be listed.

Skip straight to contacting business support.
