Hi

 

I recently reviewed my google my business accounts and I found I had 3 identical locations.
I removed two of them but when I want to publish my main one, it keeps informing me that there is a duplicate location.
 
I HAD 3 locations, I removed 2 locations
When I now go into my Google Business account, there is an error
 

 
 
Then When I click REQUEST ACCESS
 
and then fill in the details on the next screen

It has been a week and I still CANNOT publish this location and activate insights

As I understand, the situation is as follows:

 

1) You opened the Google My Business Dashboard.

 

2) You were shown a notification that there were duplicate locations in your account, as mentioned in this help article: Google My Business Help -> Remove or report duplicate locations

 

Remove duplicate locations in your account

If you add a location that’s already been verified in Google My Business, it won’t appear on Google Maps and will be marked as a "Duplicate location" in your account.

 

3) You removed the duplicate listings, leaving the one that was published.

 

4) You are now shown a notification that someone else has claimed the listing and shown a screen to request ownership, as mentioned in the aforementioned help article: Google My Business Help -> Remove or report duplicate locations:

 

(If you see a location listed as "Access needed," it means that another user previously verified this location. You can follow these instructions to request access.)

 

5) You are unable to request access due to an error saying "Sorry we are facing some issues at the moment, please try again later".

 

Is this correct, or did I misunderstand something?

Also, as I can see, the listing is claimed by a user with an email ID pa.......@......, as you can see in the screenshot below:

just in addition to your steps

 

Rather than unpublish a location, I moved it to another account and changed the name.

I did this as I thought maybe I might need to keep this location.

 

because the issue still existed I then eventually unpublished the location

I am unable to find any duplicates for this listing, using this tool: https://www.michaelcottam.com/google-business-page-finder/, so I'm not sure what could be the issue.

 

Are you sure that you are the primary owner for your listing?

 

Could you share a screenshot of what you see when you follow the instructions here?:

 

 

  • Sign in to Google My Business.
  • If you have two or more listings, switch to card view and click Manage location for the listing you'd like to manage.
  • Click Users  from the menu.

Thats precisely the problem

I login to My business and there is a red message at the top asking me to REQUEST ACCESS

however I cannot request access because I get the Sorry we are having some issues message

 

Because I can't request access I cannot verify my account

 

I just want to verify my account

 

Oddly enough, there are 107 reviews for my business right now if you were to search for DENTIST HARRIS PARK

Could you please click on the “Users” tab on the left and share a screenshot of that?

 

If you are sure that you are already the “Primary Owner” for your listing then, I’m not sure what else can be done apart from removing the listing completely and verifying it again.

 

You could try contacting support also, although I’m not sure if they are able to help since the system seems to think that you are not the owner.
