Merge Google business locations

Hi All,

I work for a law firm that changed names and locations.

This is a link to the old name and location.

This is a link to the new name and location.

Both are in my Google My Business account but I can't figure out how to merge the two.  I don't want the old one to be shown as "permanently closed" because it is not.  How do I make the merge happen?

HI Tony,

Can you please give me more info? The business moved, but it is still operating from the old location too?

There are two different law firms that merged. Google now shows each
individual firm as being in the same location when really only one firm
should be listed. How do I combine the two listings?

Hi Tony

so you'd like to remove the Darren Pekny listing?

Under Google guidelines that should really stay as he is now one of multiple practitioners at the firm (I'm assuming since the name has changed)

Multiple practitioners at one location

If the practitioner is one of several public-facing practitioners at this location:

The organization should create a listing for this location, separate from that of the practitioner.
The title of the listing for the practitioner should include only the name of the practitioner, and shouldn’t include the name of the organization.

Hi PriyaC,
This is confusing because right now Google shows two listings for the business. We do not want to have two of the exact same listing.

If you do a Google search in Omaha, Nebraska for "Johnson Pekny", you'll see the following results:

Listing A:
Johnson & Pekny Omaha
Attorney
300 S 19th St #212 · (402) 298-8288

Listing B:
Johnson & Pekny Omaha
Family Law Attorney
300 S 19th St #212 · (402) 298-8288
Opens at 9:00 AM

Listing C
Johnson & Pekny Plattsmouth
Divorce Lawyer
429 Main St
(402) 298-8288
Opens at 9:00 AM

You'll notice that listing A and listing B are the same. How do we make one of them go away?

Hi Tony

My apologies for the delay in replying here. To make either Listing A or B go away you'll need to contact GMB support via this link: https://support.google.com/business/contact/business_c2c_l?rd=3# and ask them to merge the two listings together as duplicates.
