Another company is using our business name in their ad.

When you type in "Kuykendall solar" their ad pops up in the first position.

This is what it looks like:

Kuykendall Solar Systems - Cut Your Utility Bills - Top Panels‎

Ad    kuykendall.estimates.solar/Deals

Is this legal?
Do we have any recourse?

Thanks

Mark

Hi Mark,

You're actually talking about a paid ad, and Google does offer recourse for Trademark holders when competition is using your trademark in the body of their ads. You can read more about that here. The proper place to submit a trademark complaint is there as well, under More help for trademark owners

This forum is actually for questions relating to Google's Google My Business platform for small business owners. If you'd like more details about Google's policy around trademarks and Adwords (their ad platform) you'll find more help in the adwords forum

Hope that helps.
