Hi @Joseph n Lucy H

The first thing that comes to mind is the inconsistent brand / business name around the web.

The next question is - what is a fictitious business name?

Thirdly, when I follow the links on the website to your social media assets, your LinkedIn goes to a "student at home school"

While I don't have insight as to exactly what criteria Google use, from these few things I found in less than a minute, I understand why they are reluctant.
Have a read of the guidelines and do some searching on the web for suggestions about the sorts of things Google likes to see to help business listings show higher in the local pack.  While I know that's not specifically what you asked for, it does give good insight as to the things Google will be looking at for verifying the listing.
