Google MyBusiness listing is causing conflict with former employee

Our current business name is "Poole Brooke Plumlee PC" as of January 1st, 2016. We have a current MyBusiness listing that we have ownership of. The address is 4705 Columbus St, Suite 100, Virginia Beach, VA 23462, TEL: 757-499-1841.

Our former business name was "Poole Mahoney PC". One of our former attorneys who left the firm in 2014 is named Frances Hampton. A MyBusiness listing by the name "Poole Mahoney PC: Hampton Frances" was created from 3rd party information obtained by Google. It lists our address and phone number and shows as "permanently closed".

The former attorney, who now has her own law firm in a different city, is not happy with this listing as it come up when you perform a Google search for "Frances Hampton Attorney", instead of her MyBusiness listing for her firm named below.

F. Hunter Hampton, P.C.

Bank Street Garage

440 Monticello Ave #1834

Norfolk, VA  23510

I was able to claim the listing for "Poole Mahoney PC: Hampton Frances"  and modified the business name from "Poole Mahoney PC: Hampton Frances" to just "Poole Mahoney PC", however it still displays when a Google search is performed for  "Frances Hampton Attorney".

Ideally, we would like to be able to just delete or unpublish the listing since she doesn't work for us anymore and the name of the firm has changed although we are still located at the same address. It is causing confusion by associating her name with our former firm and by making it look like we are "permanently closed".

Failing that, will this incorrect information stop displaying in the near future since I removed her name from the business name? What other steps can I take to correct this issue?

Hi @Jerry G

So this is the business page that you claimed and verified :

https://plus.google.com/106538553786584112913/about

I would delete the page you claimed >> https://plus.google.com/106538553786584112913/about

This will still be hanging around in maps.

You should then contact business support and ask that the duplicate version : https://plus.google.com/106538553786584112913/about

 >> be marked as moved to the current official business page >>

https://plus.google.com/+Poolemahoney/about

Business support : https://support.google.com/business/contactflow

Yes, that is the business page I claimed. Will marking it as "moved" stop it from coming up when the former attorney's name is Googled? That is our primary concern.

I know that "deleting" it will just delete the management account, but not the listing.

Firstly you need to delete it and then have it marked as moved / duplicate of the current page.

Yes, as the data refreshes, it should no longer show
