Google My Business Page Pulling information from a Unverified Source
I manage several Google My Business pages for Auto Dealerships across the nation. Something that has recently happened is inaccurate information from sources such as locu.com from a non-verified or owned directory listing page is being pushed to my GMB page.
I assume this is because locu.com is a paid service and is owned by GoDaddy which I'm sure Google considers a very reliable source. What I want to know, is there any way that I can control what Google looks at to verify my info is accurate? Can I block some sites that I don't want to pay to manage?
Re: Google My Business Page Pulling information from a Unverified Source
Google does not allow owners of verified listing to block edits to the listings from third party sources.
The best option is to make sure that those other third-party sources have current accurate information about your listing.
Otherwise, you would have to keep a constant eye on the listings to correct any inaccurate data and contact My Business support if the data is constantly reverted to the incorrect information.
