Edit Band Info In Knowledge Graph

How do I edit my band's information in the Knowledge Graph? I've made sure that my website is associated with my search console and I have web & app activity turned on, but the Knowledge Graph doesn't have my website listed, so I don't see how it's going to make the connection.

I read this article in marketingland and followed all the steps, but I'm still not seeing the option "Suggest A Change." Anyone know what I'm doing wrong or what I need to do? Thanks!

Hi @Jessica S

Brand pages do not generally show up in the KP.

Do you mean business page, do you have a business page ?

If you mean your business page, then this will help you check that everything is aligned:

http://onlineownership.com/get-knowledge-panel-show-business-name-search/

If you meant the Knowledge Graph, this is not pulled from any Google + page, this is created by information extracted from external sources, like Wiki, Freebase, Stock exchange etc.

You would also need to have organisational structured data implemented across site, together with social media channels being marked up.

Sorry, forgot to tell you how to edit the details.

Log into your dashboard >> https://business.google.com/manage/

Select the business page >> then EDIT the details in the admin

Hi Tim,

I'm actually referring to the Knowledge Graph for my band, Lovedrug. I read
in a marketingland article that bands can now edit their knowledge graph
info (at least some of it), but I'm not seeing that as an option. In the
article it said you needed to make sure you were the verified owner of the
website identified with the band, but our website isn't showing up in the
Knowledge Graph, so even verifying ownership didn't change anything.

Hi @Jessica S

First thing you need to know about Google, is it is algorithmic, so something you read may not be possible with yours until the algo revists your properties.

So I just looked at your source code and I cant see that the site is connected to Google search console ?

Can you show me a screenshot of your search console dashboard.

The other thing ( if you were verified ) are you logged into your google account, when looking at the Knowledge Graph ?

Thanks for helping me out!

Here's a screenshot of my search console dashboard. I am logged into my
google account when looking at the Knowledge Graph. This our first time
trying to take on all these things on our own since we are no longer
working with our previous manager, so I'm not sure if it just takes time
for everything to line up because of algorithms or what. [image: Inline

Hey @Jessica S

That image never appeared in Post.

What I would like you to check ( because I could not see in your sites source code )

1) the account connected is the correct domain ( www. or non  )

the site is currently not on a www.domain    http://lovedrugmusic.com

2) check the G+ account and in the About section, you should have the ability to verify the website in the Brand page

Lovedrug Google .png

3) correct the url for the G+ in your schema  ( this is not crucial, I just like to have things perfect )

Condon"}],"name":"Lovedrug","sameAs":["https:\/\/plus.google.com\/102216878638444821874\/posts","https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/lovedrugmusic\/","https:\/\/soundcloud.com\/lovedrug-1","https:\/\/twitter.com\/lovedrug","https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Lovedrug","https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/lovedrug","https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/lovedrug\/"],"url":"http:\/\/lovedrugmusic.com\/"}</script>

Remove the posts so it is just 102216878638444821874/

Tim,

Thanks! I believe I fixed the Google+ URL in my Schema. The Search Console
account is connected to the correct domain. The Google+ page I made has the
website verified. I did run into another problem though - I didn't realize
there were TWO other Google+ pages made. One made last year sometime (and
forgotten) and one made by previous management. Is there a way to delete or
merge these together? Could that be part of the problem?
