Duplicate listing

Hello,

Today we found a new listing on Google+ for one of our accommodation properties. Not only was it a duplicate, it was located incorrectly at one of our other properties. I managed to claim the listing and move it to the right address, but still I am stuck with 2 listings instead of 1. How can I remove the 'new' listing before it causes more confusion for our guests?

Correct listing: https://plus.google.com/+SirTobysHostelPrague

Duplicate listing: https://plus.google.com/108007347621987691463/about

Thanks in advance.

Hi Jens,

You should be able to access Google+ Local business support in Denmark via one of the options here: https://support.google.com/business/contactflow

Thanks Tim. I did as you suggested and spoke with Google support via phone. What they had me do was find the listing on Google Maps, select it as permanently closed and mark the reason as duplicate listing. The maps team will review it over the next week and should remove it for us.

@Joe M

What are you trying to tell us and in what relationship is this to understand with the issue user @Satya T asked to get help for.

Your post is not understandable without clarification.

simply if you have a duplicate listing, a simple solution would be to
delete the duplicate....

Hi Joe

Unfortunately simply deleting the duplicate will only remove it from the owner's Google dashboard, it won't always remove it from the Maps database, which is why Tim originally suggested asking support for assistance. They are the only ones who can remove an entry entirely from the Maps database and stop it showing up in searches.

Hi Thanks for the input, but its been my experience that when you own both
listings and you delete the listing by marking it as a duplicate the google
maps teams flags the duplicate and corrects the issue. if that's what you
consider contacting support then you are correct. But if you do not own
both listing it may bring a different set of issues.

By the way have you ever had google not do good?
