The previous employee in my position set up the page. She is the "owner." We have gone through the Google ownership transfer request process twice. Either she is not responding, or the email she used to set up the site is no longer functioning. In any case, we have waited the requisite 7 days, twice, and received no response. 

 

I tried requesting a call per the instructions in the email from "Anna" but the calls I received, which came through immediately after I filled out the form, did not have a person on the line.

So essentially business support is not reaching out?

That is correct. I've made multiple requests via phone, email, online forms.

First follow this process. https://support.google.com/business/answer/4566671?hl=en. There you will send a request through Google. If the owner doesnt respond in a week, use the following link and express the same with Google Team, They will verify the details and contact you.

I have been through that process twice. I am using every avenue possible to get a response from Google. So far I have received a call when I was not at my phone, and an email, letting me know that I was called and I didn't answer.

She has made two such requests, but support has not contacted her back to complete the request.

 

That it why I have escalated the issue.

 

This is not a one off situation, over the past month there have been hundreds of complaints about support not getting back to people, including me personally.

 

Something is broken with support and it needs to get fixed.

I did get another call back today and was able to resolve the issue.

I agree that the user interface for dealing with the issue once a current owner does not respond, and the responses from that interface, need work.

I received another call back and was able to resolve the issue. At first I was directed by the phone support person to use the online interface but when I explained that I had already been through that process, he asked me for a variety of details, including the email address used for filing the request for ownership - which allowed him to see that I had followed the 7-day-wait guidelines. He then checked another detail by calling the business main line, then released the site to me.
