Can't Recover Service Based Businesses

Hi,

It seems like Google My Business has a glitch which doesn't allow you to recover service based businesses that do not work out of a location but come to the consumer. Usually if I need to recover an account I would go through the process posted online (This process: https://support.google.com/business/answer/4566671?hl=en) this process works for most businesses.

Although if it's a business that travels to the consumer, when I select it from the drop down it doesn't auto fill the fields and let me continue. I assume this is because Google doesn't want to show the business owner's address but because of this people who have businesses that deliver to their customers have no way of recovering their listing. What should we do in this case?

Thanks

@johnny b

Its replicable on my end too

Therefore escalated it to Google as an issue:

for my own reference only:

claiming a SAB not possible through "Someone else verified..."

Google told my we should use this path:

Users should go through the CUF - "Contact Us Flow" here:

Then select "Ownership or access to my business":

Next would be to select "Someone else owns or verified my service area business"

Click the link to learn more about requesting access and scroll down to choose the preferred contact method:

Let ne know please this helps you.

So this didn't exactly solve my problem but it lead me to the answer

I was having problems finding where the top screenshot was located so I downloaded the Google My Business App. Within the Google My Business app I was able to send a verification postcard and it worked just fine through the app displaying my whole real address.

Thank you very much for your time everyone!

I was referring to another conversation you were having about contacting Google. I read a post that talked about how to contact them to assist in fixing or verifying a listing and there were screen shots of how to do that. At least I think it was you that had posted that? I've read so many different things today I can't keep them all straight.

Sorry for confusing you.

Hello @Helmut Geissler - It seems like Google deactivated the option to contact them concerning this issue using this way. I was able to it twice last week but it does not work anymore since Friday, 22nd September.

Do you have another solution to request ownership of a Service Area Business?

Sincerely,

Leo
