Okay, full-time lurker here with my first post. I'm a maternity, birth, and newborn photographer in Austin, Texas and own Moments from the Heart Photography Studio. My Google business profile allows me to feature my studio location and my best photos in my Knowledge Graph panel. When I ask clients how they found me, many reference the photos they first see in search results or Google Maps. Having compelling photos in my results has made the largest impact on contact and click rates according to clients that book me.They also do their first research on my in the knowledge panel results - both the reviews and the local websites I appear in.

 

Having a physical studio differentiates me from photographers that go to people's homes or just shoot on-location. Having this location and my hours appear - and having them automatically appear in my AdWords location extension - gives me greater visibility.

Two tools I see very little mention of is the mobile AdWords and mobile Google Analytics apps. I had my web guy set up reports in Google Analytics so I can check my web traffic easily on my mobile.  I moved from AdWords Express to AdWords after year to take advantage of custom sitelinks and review links - and am able to turn on and off pre-planned specials and promotional ads as I book clients and fill my calendar. All from my phone.  


I have a web firm that manages my actual website - and of course without my site I would have a hard time staying in business.  And I depend on them to create my display and gmail campaigns.  But with the mobile tools and occasionally looking for help here, I can manage my "findability" and find out what business questions I need to ask my team.

I know someone that writes false/fake reviews to manipulate page ranking In Google My Business pages. What can I do about this??? Any help out there? It's been going on for almost 2 years now??? It's killing my business as well as hurting other local business in the same field ..his company name is Rosie Taxi Cab/Camarillo Cab Service/Camarillo Taxi Cabs/25%Off Taxi Cab/Oxnard Taxi Taxi Co/Taxi Service in Oxnard/Angel Taxi Cab/Oxnard Taxi and more owned by one person if you call any of the phone number at any of the business listed above you will get the same person...........Any Advice???

Click to the Spam and Policy board (link), and you will find a white + sign in a red/pink (the color is somewhere between the two) circle pinned to the lower right corner of your screen.

I had an SEO specialist working on my site, but when he passed away, I tried to correct the information of my business listing (the address for one). I have been trying to get this taken care of for more than two months. I've been given the complete runaround by the service people on GoogleMyBusiness. I've never received a postcard, even though I've requested it several times, and I've sent photos as well. Every time I think I have it resolved, nothing happens. No response. I am the owner of the business (not a Web specialist), but it shouldn't be this hard to straighten out incorrect information.
