products with inappropriate images

We've had an email from google saying that some of our product images are inappropriate.

e.g. http://www.span.com/product/Overland-OverlandCare-SnapSAN-5000-EWCAREL2E-S5000-Level-2-24x7-Phone-NB...

What should an image be of non-physical items, e.g. extended & upgraded warranties, and software ?

Or should they not be listed at all ?

What about the many thousands of "HP Care Pack" listed on google shopping ?

https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=hp+care+pack&safe=off&tbm=shop

Currently baffled,

google-shopping does not allow the promotion of services.

https://support.google.com/merchants/#topic=3404779

the image must display the product; placeholder images or images

containing promotional information such as logos are not allowed.

potential policy violations may be reported to google --

According to google policy, they do allow "Digital Goods".
Digital goods cannot have "an image displaying the product".
The vast majority will have an "image containing a logo".
In which case they are not allowed ?

generally, the image of a digital-good should reflect
the product being sold; for example, in the case of a
digital mp3 the image should be of the "album" cover --
not the merchant's logo.

regardless, google may be contacted directly to clarify any policy --

simply select "I need more information..." and indicate that the
issue relates to selling non-physical items on google-shopping
with as much detail of the issue and item being sold as possible.
