data feed error message.

Hard goods must have values for two out of the following attributes: gtin, brand, mpn

It's possible that a product I manufacture is simply not listable for a data feed.

All I have is a brand but no gtin or mpn. Is mpn something I can specify and not a officially globally registered specific ?

Please advise if I should just forget about trying to create a data feed for Google Shopping.

first, you're welcome.

be certain any fixes were applied to the same registered feed --

normally, only one single feed should ever be registered -- once.

yes, google may take 24-72 hours or so before all
items have been assigned a status and the data
is made available in the linked adwords-account.

if this is the first time submitting the (feed) data, the
approval may require a more detailed inspection of
all items, images, business details, and the website.

otherwise, google may be contacted here --

if the required, valid, global-trade-data does not exist for an item,
simply submit the identifier_exists attribute with a value of FALSE
and then do not submit any global-trade-data (mpn, brand, gtin)
for that item.

brand is (only) allowed when identifier_exists is
FALSE if the merchant is also the manufacturer.

Thanks celebird.
I have generated a data feed with only one warning but it's more a recommendation.
Does it really take 24-48 hours to get a data feed approved ?
I guess it's the waiting game because the feed hasn't popped up as available in my ad words account yet.

My linked adwords accounts reports:

There are no eligible products for Google Shopping in your linked Merchant Center accounts.

The data feed in the Merchant Centre says

Status: 1 of 1 items inserted

Should the Status say something like 'Approved' when my data feed is ready to roll ?

inserted is mainly a simple count but
does not imply any specific item status
and does not guarantee items will be
seen within the adwords-account.

each item, image, and website landing-page
must be inspected to ensure some level of
conformance to the policies before an item
is assigned a status.

check the merchant-center's main dashboard and
quality areas for any website or image related issues;
check the products-tab for individual item status --
per-item status is typically assigned 24-72 hours
after a feed is submitted and the images and site

have been crawled by google.

be certain there is only one feed registered
and id values never change once assigned.

then, check the "View full list of products" under
the shopping-campaign's product-groups to
be certain the items match a product-group

and are not being filtered-out by any settings.

otherwise, google should likely be contacted directly
so that a person can look at the feed, items, images,
website, and both accounts.
