the manufacturer-part-number may also be submitted.

however, for certain designated brands, such as asus,
the brand and (bar-code) gtin value must be submitted --
generally, directly from the physical product or package.

the issue is mainly related to global-trade-data
and the requirements related to global-trade,
physical inventory, and product-listing-ads.

otherwise, if the physical item cannot be inspected,
there are other campaign-types and ad-formats
that might be a better fit for advertising certain items.

Hi Sebastien,
where you are targeting your ads?

GTINs vary in length depending on the type of product and where the product will be sold.

  • UPC (in North America / GTIN-12): 12-digit number (8-digit UPC-E codes should be converted to 12-digit UPC-A codes)
  • EAN (in Europe / GTIN-13): 13-digit number

I would recommend to go with EAN, as Scanners equipped to read EAN symbols can read UPC symbols as well. However, UPC scanners will not necessarily read EAN symbols.

there should be a gtin symbol that is physically
stamped directly on the product or package,
at the factory, designated by the manufacturer.

the bar-code digits on the product or package must be submitted --
http://www.gs1.org/barcodes/ean-upc

using an improper or inexact gtin value is grounds
for the items being removed from the auctions,
disapproval, or account suspension, at any time.

items submitted as in stock must be currently,

physically, in the on-hand physical inventory

of the merchant.

No, I don't have this information, only EAN and UPC data.
According to my searches, UPC are 12 digits, EAN, 13 the if I had a 0 at the beginning of my UPC i have a valid EAN.
It means I have:
- UPC 642968036198
- EAN 0889349041772
- EAN (bis) 0642968036198

So, is there a way to consolidate these informations to inform google my product has this 3 numbers ?

generally, on-line searches or databases cannot be used.

the data must come from the physical product, stamped at the factory --
each item may be configured differently based on a region or country, so
the physical inventory bar-code digits stamped on the item must be used:
http://www.gs1.org/barcodes/ean-upc

there is no way to consolidate global-trade-data --
except to use the data stamped on the product.

the physical item must be in the merchant's physical inventory --

otherwise, the item cannot be submitted as a product-listing-ad --

simply inspect the physical bar-code digits stamped on the item.

submitting inaccurate gtin is a policy violation.

Then why Google doesn't use a manufacture ID instead of all this code barres versions ? It would be easier isn't it ?
