Hi

I am using google shopping campaign. After running the campaign for 1 week, I have observed that Average CPC is always higher than the Default Max CPC. So how I can control to keep the Average CPC below Max Default CPC.

I have searched and cannot find a helpful answer.

FYI, I am Not using Enhanced CPC.

Please provide links to setting pages as it is really difficult to locate settings other than Default Max CPC.

I also want to know whether we have control over the max CPC spend. ie. Google should not charge or show ads if CPC is more than Default Max CPC.

I am also attaching the screenshot.

Hi Gopi,

Can you show screenshots at a more granular level? It may be a possibility that your product groups might have different bids. Product group level bids override the average Max CPC at ad group level.

Hi Gopi,
This is quite strange indeed. What date range did you have applied when you took this screen shot? Did you change your Max CPC often during that time?

Hi Gopi,

It may due to you have set Bid adjustment at Device, Location and Ad scheduling. Check your campaign setting at Device level, Location level and Scheduling level.

Also You can check Change history of the campaigns and then compare the data with date range as suggested by Kathleen. You may have changed but you don't remember. In Change history you will also find If some one else changed the bid.

Hi Gopi,
I'm going to ask an AdWords Online Specialist to investigate this for you. We're getting into a very account specific issue. Please look out for an email in the next few hours.

Hi

Herewith I am enclosing the Product Group level details. I think product group max cpc overriding the default adgroup CPC.

Should I be considered about benchmark MAX CPC.

I am new to adwords and hence any help would be appreciated

Thanks and Regards

Gopi A
