Will items be disapproved if their Color is incorrect?

If I was to use a default String, possibly "Black", as the color for items I can't determine a color for, will this result in item disapprovals/removals?

The above link states that:

"We regularly verify the correctness of the attributes you submit, including color. If the values provided are found to be incorrect, we may remove all of your items from Google Shopping."

Internally, we simply do not have a sophisticated way of determining a Color for some items. As Color is sometimes a required attribute, leaving the attribute empty results in me getting an message when inserting items using the Java Google Shopping API. When the error occurs, the item fails to insert to the merchant center. Would it be an issue if used a default Color value to avoid these errors?

such default values are generally not allowed.

typically, if a (color) value is submitted google will eventually inspect
image_link and additional_image_link images and the default item
on link and mobile_link landing-pages, to verify all data matches --
including color.

if color is required, accurate color must be submitted and
must match the submitted and landing-page item details.

if color is optional then, either submit accurate color
or, do not include the attribute (element tag), at all,
for that item.

also, (color) variants must be submitted per all the variant rules;
for multi-colored items, the two or three most prominent colors,
separated by a slash, should be submitted.

there are other rules for color values --
standard color values are usually best.

submitting any inaccurate data for any item is grounds for lower quality
and therefore lower performance in the auctions over time, disapproval,
or suspension from the program, at any time.
