WHAT HAPPENED TO US WITH GOOGLE SHOPPING

I have a shopping store that was making sales everyday and 19 days ago we were told by google to raise our budget and we did and traffic increased but we have not made a single sale and our pricing is as competitive as it was when this started. In fact the first two months of the year showed major increases. Nothing is wrong with our data feed so what happened? We have showed approximately 1000 items on shopping with a competitor that was higher priced. ( Shop 2 stores) After months of this situation he closed his store and pulled his items down leaving us exclusively representing this manufacturer in shopping and we expected more business.  We have been buying the same add words from the beginning.Shortly after his we went from multiple sales daily to three weeks without one sale. BIG INCREASE IN TRAFFIC -

WHAT DID GOOGLE SHOPPING DO.

Firstly, I would suggest to cut down your budget, if necessary to the previous level just to reduce the non-converting spend.

Now, can you check and confirm below things in order to verify everything is fine from your end:
1. Make a test booking > by searching a keyword that you are bidding on and clicking on YOUR ad, if the booking is reflected in your Adwords account then all is ok as in conversion tracking.

2. Do you have Google Analytics account? If yes, is it linked with your Adwords account? If yes, check the Funnel Visualisation (if you had it setup earlier) to identify where the users are exiting from your website (before and after analysis i.e. when you were getting bookings and what's happening recently)

3. Did you make any changes to your website since you started your adwords account?

4. Talk with Google Representatives (through Customer care or email, if you have) and put your concern before them and see what they say.

Would it be possible for you to identify why did your competitor close his store leaving you the only one in the market?

Would you mind sharing the product you are selling and the target market so that we can also check and verify at our end and update you if we find anything?

Regards,
Ashish

is that website domain url accurate and
the site that is validated and claimed?

currently, that website seems to show as a parked-domain.

what is an exact feed item entry being submitted?

generally, if impressions and clicks are seen in the account
then the issue typically is with the website or landing-page.

as an aside, product-listing-ads do not use keywords.

first, you're welcome.

those answers are rather important so, thank you.

another test would be for you and someone else to look at
your website together; is what they see, what you expect?

also, try talking with your hosting-company (whoever you purchased
the website from) and ask if they can please verify that your website
is still working and still functioning properly.

in addition, talking directly with a support specialist
at google would probably be an important next-step.

I have two campaigns and one has evidently been put on pause without notification
but worse I have someone who is supposed to be looking at this. The key words
in this campaign, our original campaign were very focused. The new campaign
labeled shopping increase traffic by 30% but no sales. I am will get back to you
with their key words if their are any. How would I restart the campaign on pause?
First time I have gotten involved in this.

Thanks again

checking the website is a rather important first-step.

a website cannot be parked and must be functional --
parked, non-functioning, domains are not allowed to
be used for product-listing-ads (shopping-campaigns).

as to the campaigns in general, forum members cannot
look into accounts -- the best likely course would be to
contact a (product-listing-ads) specialist.

shopping-campaigns for product-listing-ads do not use keywords;

shopping-campaigns require a functioning e-commerce website --

otherwise, no sales can be processed.

if there is some concern about exactly how or what

might be pausing campaigns -- or how to resume a

specific campaign -- a specialist at google should

likely be contacted directly for guidance.
