Too few tabs delimted

Good morning everyone,

I am still having trouble with one error - 'too few columns delimters'. I have looked at how to fix it etc and I understand that it's like i have too many attributes in the file but what I cannot see is how to fix it in my excel file?!

I have been battling with it for about a month now, and I have tried all sorts. I need in theory someone to have a look at the excel file and tell me what is causing it!

Does any have any thoughts on this please? Or would a technical team be able to have a look at it please?

Thank you,

Eleanor

first, you're welcome.

no, not spaces -- any (invisible) line-breaks;
check the .txt file in a browser or check
microsoft's instructions for finding and
replacing breaks (such as page-breaks/
newlines/linefeeds/etc) in excel.

normally, there should be no overlaps -- try re-sizing the
browser-window or try a different browser; an overlap
may simply indicate that a cell has an empty value but

the debugger's window is not being rendered properly.

otherwise, the best course is likely to contact google
so a person can look directly into the submitted data
and exactly what is being seen within the debugger --
forum members cannot look into accounts or feeds

and there are other issues that can trigger the error.

Hello,

Did you try using the Feed debugger to rectify your feed: https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/2771498?hl=en&ref_topic=2475446

I would also suggest you to look at the supported file format and probably download the correct format and then try uploading your feed: https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/160567

I hope that helps!

HI Pankaj,

Thank you for your reply.

I did look, and it shows you where the problem is but I don't know what I would need to change it? I have tried a few things but it still has the exclamation mark next to it.
The little arrows between each tab sometimes is overlapped with the text, is that normal? I cannot seem to change it?

I am definitely doing the correct format - tabs delimited .txt file.

Thank you,

Eleanor

most often, a tabs-related issue is caused by
a value that is extending on multiple lines
within the cell; all values must be on one,
single, contiguous line without any breaks --
most often, the description value.

try checking the .txt file within a browser
near the line reported in google's debugger.

otherwise, google may be contacted here --

Thank you for reply.

So I should take out all the spaces on each line to make it contiguous?

Does it matter that in debugger the little arrow symbol between each tab overlaps on some?

I have cracked it!! Thank you all for your help!

It was exactly that - invisible space breaks!! Using debugger really helped too!

Thank you!
