Time sensitive items in Merchant Center, but not Google Shopping?

Hi,

I am new to the Google Merchant Center product. I see there is a policy for not listing time sensitive items such as tickets in Google Shopping:

https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/2770254?hl=en

However, we are also working with 3rd party products that can connect to Google Merchant Center to list your products. The service we are working with accepts tickets as a product.

My question: is it allowable to have a feed of time sensitive items, such as tickets, in Merchant Center, but not have them listed in Google Shopping? Would this violate the linked policy or not?

generally, items submitted that violate a policy may
make their way into google-shopping temporarily --
however, eventually the items are flagged as disapproved
and google may then (permanently) suspend the account,
site, or merchant, entirely, depending on the details.

otherwise, the items are flagged during the review process
and risk the same similar disapproval and suspension --
suspensions are against websites, accounts, or merchants
and can be permanent.

third-party aggregators and marketplaces also risk their
own suspension if items violating policies are submitted.

Thanks, Celebird. To clarify, I am not looking to get these items into Google Shopping, but rather just have them in my Merchant Center so I can send to 3rd parties who take feeds from Merchant Center to list on their sites. Is this sort of separation possible? Or if I put items in my Merchant Center, will they automatically get posted to shopping and therefore be a policy violation?

first, you're welcome.

the merchant-center really isn't designed for such a scenario --
especially since each merchant should have unique titles and
descriptions and separate landing-pages.

if there was no linked adwords account, the merchant-center
items and account would likely be disapproved and suspended --
but the items would never be listed on google-shopping.

if the merchant-center is simply being used as a distribution
mechanism there are likely better frameworks available --

such as simply sharing the data on google-drive.

regardless, if the items are destined for google-shopping, having
a central distribution point for items that violate the policies will
simply delay the individual merchant's disapproval and suspension.
