Testing Google Customer Review integration

I am integrating Google Customer Reviews into an ecommerce site that is currently in development, so I do not have a live website to deploy to, only a staging / development website.

Can I test the badge and opt-in code on a staging/development site?

some basic syntax/placement testing can likely be done on a local site --

however, the actual opt-in and badge-code integration must be done on

a live domain that has been verified under the google-search-console

and claimed using the google-merchant-center-account.

the live web-pages used for testing can likely be noindexed/nofollowed
and not associated with any other links or links on the site -- assuming

the pages have never been indexed, followed, or linked-to, before.

the opt-in page must also be https/ssl secure on the claimed domain --

usually on the confirmation-page, on the final-leg of the checkout-flow.

otherwise, for specific google-customer-reviews
questions, google may be contacted directly --
