I live in South Africa, but I am selling to USA. I am trying to configure my Tax Settings in Google Merchant Account for Shopify store in order to do Google Shopping ads, but I am having problems with it. Google Merchant states "Missing Tax Information". I am not planning to collect taxes in the USA. Please help?

even if tax is not being collected, the tax rate must be indicated.

if no tax is collected, then tax must either be set to zero
in the merchant-center, or tax submitted as zero in the feed.

the best likely course is to simply set a flat tax rate of zero,
in the merchant-center-account, wait a few hours for google to
propagate the change, and then resubmit the product (feed) data.

otherwise, shopify-support may be contacted directly,
to indicate how to submit zero tax for each item;
details depend on how the data is being submitted --
xml, tab-delimited, or api, and the specifics of the
e-commerce system being used, in this case shopify.

always verify the final result by carefully inspecting the

shipping-and-tax-rate-calculator and final-attributes areas,

under the products-list-tab, by clicking on the item's title:
