Specifying shipping methods

Visitor ✭ ✭ ✭

Hi,

I have a client with three shipping methods depending on the individual product.

These are:

Standard

Non-standard

Free delivery

What is the best way to assign each shipping method to the correct products?

Thanks.

at least three choices are:

(1) use the shipping_label attribute with a corresponding
shipping-setting within the merchant-center-account --

do not use any shipping attribute in the submitted data.

(2) use a separate shipping attribute value for each item.

(3) if the (three) different sets of products happen to fall within
a specific set of price or weight ranges then, simply create a
price-based or weight-based shipping-table in the merchant-center.

a weight-based table would require a shipping_weight attribute with an
exact and valid weight value; a valid shipping_weight value includes a
number, space, and google-supported unit; e.g.
23.45 kg

first, create a weight-based shipping table or rule, under
the shipping settings, in the merchant-center-account --
https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/6069284

then, as was indicated, within the submitted data (feed)
simply add an accurate and valid shipping_weight value,
per item, and resubmit the data (feed) --
https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/188494#shipping_weight

adding the shipping_weight within the (feed) date,

without a matching shipping (table or rule) setting,

will not assign any shipping -- and is grounds for a

disapproval or suspension, at any time.

always verify shipping of items, after (feed) processing, by clicking on
the item's title, under the products-tab, of the merchant-center-account.

first thanks both for your quick replys

@Celebird

i did both steps & guess i understand this.
my question is: to calculate the shipping price from the provided shipping_weight how as the feed setup looks like?
do i have to include all like this? and where in the feed i connect the price_table? (like standard & priority mail)

this is what i made, and no price is calculated.
my feed fails always by the approval!

<g:service>Economy</g:service>
</g:shipping>
<g:shipping_weight><![CDATA[ 1003 g ]]></g:shipping_weight>

first, you're welcome.

do not include shipping;
remove <g:shipping>

do not send <g:shipping> in the data (feed) --
send only the shipping_weight for the product.

shipping in the data submitted will
override any settings and then the
shipping_weight is useless (not used).

simply configure shipping in the account;
then, send (only) shipping_weight --

<g:shipping_weight>1003 g</g:shipping_weight>

wow so easy when you know ;-)

but with the google-merchant help & guide its hard to figure out this?
a better guide with more explicit advises would be useful, also in on other topics.

many thanks celebird!
