Should I quit ebay entirely ? Policy and Ethics

new to Google Shopping.

4 year old business, 98% of may sales have been from my web site and 2% from ebay.  My web site has 27 product skus, all data recovery product for individuals to repair their own vehicle navigation systems. The single ebay listing has been to expose my brand so ebay shoppers might discover my web site.  (my brand/logo is on the product itself just like your John Deere tractor so ebay images include my brand)

To be in compliance with Google's policy, should I discontinue the single ebay listing for a product variation that will never have a Google ad?   The ebay listing is for a European version of the product; Google ads are only for domestic versions, so the Google landing pages will never include the product listed on ebay.

generally, for shopping-ads, google does not allow duplicate physical items,
nor similar physical items submitted from multiple venues such as a private
website and a marketplace, nor duplicate content, in the same target country --
that is, any unfair-advantage in the ad-auctions is a policy violation.

each marketplace venue (such as ebay) is different with respect to the
details of which item-offers may be submitted to google as a shopping-ad,
and any related controls that may be available to their individual-sellers --
for those details, the best likely course would be to simply contact the
marketplace-support organization directly; in this case, ebay-support.

if the items and content are targeted to entirely
different countries, then there should be no issue.

in the future, if the merchant-center were used
to target the same country, as the marketplace,
then that likely could trigger a policy violation flag.

of course, google is the final arbiter of all policies.

Thanks for your reply,

I checked with ebay to see if I can prevent my ebay listing from showing up in Google Shopping.  The guy was 100% certain that ebay does not control/submit the Google shopping ads.  He was certain that ebay does not feed listing to Google.   But who knows if that's true ?

eBay does list products on Google Shopping, you can verify yourself by searching some random products on Google Shopping. You will quickly see the some shop names ebay - name of user

Maybe the person you talked to does not know about eBays marketing strategies.

From experience and knowing that eBay does submit your products (depending on there return of investment), I recommend ether to choose eBay or Google Shopping but not both.

Hope it helps.
