Shopping Feed shipping cost limited to $1,000. What do we do if it goes over?

Google is setting a limit of $1,000AUD for shipping costs per item in their Google Shopping feed from the 26th June 2017. We have a lot of products of varying weights so we put our shipping information in the feed that we create. We put in a value for several postcodes around the country to try to be reasonably accurate with regard to shipping costs to all parts of the country.

Unfortunately due to weight and distance (this is a pretty big country) sometimes the cost of shipping will exceed the $1,000AUD limit. When such a situation arises we need to know the best way to handle it. Do we not show shipping for that item to that location or limit the shipping cost to a hard $1,000AUD. I would assume the latter would be a problem as it would mean any checks by Google would show a discrepancy but then not having a shipping value at all may also lead to an issue.

If anyone knows of an official answer to this problem it would be greatly appreciated if you could share it.

Yes, your products will be rejected.

I recommend you contact Google, this is a community forum and we can only help so much as our knowledge goes.

Even if you use Google Merchant Tables, it still might get disapproved. As we the community read the same as you read. So therefor we might still give you wrong advice.

Therefor, please contact Google.

Hope it helps.

This article is referring to the feed : https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/7397566?hl=en-GB

You should still be able to set these values in Google Merchant.

I recommend you contact Google Adwords for advice, but from my understanding it's the data feed, not the shipping settings in Google Merchant.

Hope it helps.

Unfortunately in our case there are so many different variations possible for shipping it makes using the Google Merchant Delivery Table somewhat unwieldy which is why we're supplying shipping values in the feed itself.

If we don't give a shipping value for the ones that go over $1,000AUD will the product get rejected? At the moment we give two shipping values per state and territory (standard and express) which means 16 shipping values per product that require it. So those products that go over will still get some shipping values but not all 16.
