Shopping Cart the issue?

Visitor ✭ ✭ ✭

Visitor ✭ ✭ ✭

Greetings, need help soon.. if anyone could be so kind.

I have someone working to get my products, all 19 of them,  listed on Google shopping feed.

He is having issues and he thinks that it is because my website is through Wix .com and my shopping cart is through Square.com.

he just sent me following message, >>> i have fix some issues in feed but still we need to find a way to upload google verification script in to shopping cart <<<<<

could anyone advice regarding Square and if that is the issue?

Thank you,Gayle

I will share this request, however, with our business team, to look into the matter further. Please let me know if you need anything else. Hope you have a great weekend.

as to verification --

product-listing-ads require that the website be
both (a) verified via a google-webmaster-tools-account -- google-search-console;
and (b) claimed within the merchant-center-account.

as to the shopping-cart --

generally, the shopping-cart must include a checkout button
that lands on a set of secure checkout pages -- without any
pop-ups or redirects -- that includes a secure checkout process.

the entire, on-line, checkout-flow -- all payment and transaction processing,
including the collection of any sensitive, financial, or personal information
from a customer -- must be conducted within secure https web-pages,
without any popups or redirects, that are ssl-protected with a current
and valid ssl certificate.

to summarize --

the best likely course would be to contact both wix customer support,
to help verify the website -- and square.com customer support,
to help determine if the shopping-cart includes an on-line and
secure means of checkout that meets all current google-shopping
product-listing-ad rules and policies.

otherwise, there are many other campaign-types
and ad-formats that exist and might be a better
fit for advertising the products being sold --

first, thank you for the update --

that does not sound like good news.

just as a minor reiteration -- shopping-campaigns,
product-listing-ads, and google-shopping -- are not
the only ways to advertise.

generally, the other campaign-types and ad-formats
have a different set of rules, policies, and requirements --
that do not use the merchant-center, at all, and therefore
do not need any such merchant-center integration:

as i already have square set up,,, AND, my website is through Wix.com,,

what would be the quickest most efficient remedy iyo? Wix has a shopping cart App called Euclid (sp?) ,, if i convert (i hate to do this, as Square is pretty slick and user friendly ,, at least they **were** ) can I still integrate with Google Merchant feed? TY btw!

first, you're welcome.

the quickest solution, and to keep the website as-is,

is likely, to use other ad-campaigns and ad-formats

that do not require the merchant-center.

if the merchant-center-account is in good standing (not suspended)
then, integration with the merchant-center can be done at any time --
as long as, the website has been verified and the e-commerce
checkout meets all google's rules, policies, and requirements.

the best likely course would be to simply ask the various
e-commerce shopping-cart (checkout) and website vendors
if their solutions and systems are currently compatible with
google-merchant-center, google-shopping, and google's
product-listing-ads, and conform to all google's related
rules, requirements, and policies.

the checkout-flow used for the product-listing-ads,

must show only checkout options (buttons) -- that

land on secure checkout pages without pop-ups or

redirects and meet all google's requirements.

possibly ask to see examples of, or talk to other, merchants
who are currently using their systems and who are currently
listed on google-shopping.

otherwise, generally, such recommendations
are rather beyond the scope of the forum.

otherwise, some types of products or websites are simply
not a good match for google-shopping product-listing-ads --
and google-shopping is not the only venue for advertising.

if their solutions are currently being used by
merchants who are listed on google-shopping --
if they have experience with product-listing-ads --
then, they should offer a rather simple path to
website integration that meets the requirements.

otherwise, a different web-hosting company,
a different shopping-cart system, a different
e-commerce checkout system, or a different
advertising-campaign, may be alternatives --
depending on the business goals, objectives,
and budget, with respect to advertising.
