Hi

I need some help to fix this error.

I am using GTM with my shopify store for Dynamic Remarketing ads.

I am also using Google Shopping app from Shopify to feed my products to MC..

In adword/audience source I am seeing 1 error and that is

99% of your AdWords tag activity is missing "product ID"
To tailor your dynamic ads to visitors' activity on your website, make sure that this parameter is included in your tag.

I am been trying to search here but not understanding how to fix this.
In my GTM I have 3 Tags setups as below what am I doing wrong?

Custom HTML 1st Tags
<!-- Global site tag (gtag.js) - Google AdWords: 8101XXXX -->
<script async src="https://www.googletagmanager.com/gtag/js?id=AW-810123002"></script>
<script>
  window.dataLayer = window.dataLayer || [];
  function gtag(){dataLayer.push(arguments)};
  gtag('js', new Date());

  gtag('config', 'AW-8101XXXX');
</script>
<!-- Event snippet for dynamic remarketing page -->
<script>
 gtag('event', 'page_view' , {'send to': 'AW-81012XXX' ,
  'ecomm_prodid': '{{ecomm_prodid}}',
  'ecomm_pagetype': '{{ecomm_pagetype}}',
  'ecomm_totalvalue': '{{ecomm_totalvalue}}'
 });
</script>
 Dynamic Remarketing 2nd Tags
<!-- Global site tag (gtag.js) - Google AdWords: 8101XXXX-->
<script async src="https://www.googletagmanager.com/gtag/js?id=AW-81012XXX"></script>

  window.dataLayer = window.dataLayer || [];
  function gtag(){dataLayer.push(arguments)};
  gtag('js', new Date());

  gtag('config', 'AW-8101XXXX');
</script>
<!-- Event snippet for dynamic remarketing page -->
<script>
 gtag('event', 'page_view' , {'send to': 'AW-8101XXXX' ,
  'ecomm_pagetype': '{{ecomm_pagetype}}',
  'ecomm_category': '{{ecomm_category}}',
 });
</script>

Shopify &amp; Adword Tags

You only need 2 tags, the global site tag and the dynamic remarketing tag.

Make sure that the submitted data is correct, as you are using Shopify hooks. Hooks are not always correct.

For example, a hook ecomm_pagetype can have a value collection. Which is not a valid value. Instead this should be category.

You can find all the correct values here : https://developers.google.com/adwords-remarketing-tag/parameters

As all values you currently submit are incorrect then you will get a high volume of errors.

Please note this is Google Merchant Center forum and generally do not support 3rd party platforms. You will get better luck by searching a tutorial on a search engine or ask shopify community for help.

Hope this helps.

Have you tried dynamic remarketing using just the Google Shopping app from Shopify, and the basic Google Analytics? And not using GTM at all?

I have a feeling it just works.
