Road Blocking PLAs
Hopefully I explain this right,
We have seen certain companies road blocking on PLAs and Google Shopping in Europe.
I believe they are doing this by changing an item fractionally each time, in the case I saw they were changing and advertising a certain onsite parameter for the product ( in this case it was the strength/power of a pair of glasses )
The result was them occupying all of the first 5 PLA positions on the SERP BUT FOR THE SAME PRODUCT. ( Glasses +1.00 Power, Glasses +1.25 Power ect..)
These appear to be all directing to the same product page however without it dynamically changing to the advertised parameters.
Does Google allow this?
If so, how do you go about it?

product variants must be submitted with proper, identical,
item_group_id values and at least one unique variant value --
such as size (lens power) -- for all items in the variant group.
google recommends one item per link landing-page --
the submitted price must be prominent on the page --
with variants on a separate page or preselected.
however, if multiple items are on the same page
then, it must be straightforward for a user to find
the correct item and corresponding price.
google is the final arbiter of both prominent and straightforward.
