Products will not show in SERPs

It seems that it does not matter what I set my title or my description to. My products will not show up for relevant search terms. It does not matter how much I bid either. Even with a bid of $15, they are not showing up.

What am I doing wrong? My products show up on the shopping tab, but not on the main google search page.

Hi Cody,

For a specific product, how does your price compare with your competitors in Google Shopping?

I am the lowest price.

That's interesting. I have read that you need to be in the lowest 50% price-wise. If you have the lowest price, then it probably comes down to click-through rate. This is only a guess, as Google hasn't shared the criteria for products to appear in the SERPs.

How does your product image compare?

Product image is fine. It seems like no matter what changes I make to any parts of the feed (title, description, product type, product category) nothing changes. I still get an extremely low amount of impressions and high CPCs whenever I do get a click.

The fist step is to make sure you have added all the required attributes in Google Merchant. Such as GTIN, brand, color etc if applicable.

I recommend reading the full article on Google's requirement list to check if you have missed something.

Hope it helps.

lowest-price can sometimes perform as bad or worse than

having the highest-price -- depending on the offer details.

all attributes submitted, and those not submitted, or submitted with
irrelevant or improper values, such as all images, global-trade-data,
shipping, item_group_id, condition, color, size, etc. -- as well as
historic click-through-rates, landing-page, website details, promotions,
extensions, etc., may be involved in assessing performance in the auctions.

benchmark-cpc, not just cpc, may also be critical in assessing performance.

note that searching for your own items, too often, over time, may adversely
effect click-through-rates; always check statistics and search-terms within

the  ad-account to verify items are being seen -- not direct searches.

that said, forum-members can mainly offer suggestions based
on the information that is posted here within the public-forum.

contacting google directly -- or posting, publicly here in the forum,

all the specific attributes and values, that were submitted, for

at least one item of concern, may sometimes help others offer

more specific suggestions.

Everything that is required is in the feed.

there are many more quality factors than the feed.

unfortunately, without more specific information posted here in
the public-forums -- such as the specific values being submitted,
specific link url of an item-offer, specific search-terms, etc. --
offering more specific suggestions is rather difficult.

forum-members do not have access to the feed,
accounts, or related historical statistical details.

otherwise, the best likely course would be to contact google directly.
