Problem listing Japanese language items

My product feed targets the UK only, including items (mostly books) imported from Japan. These items can't be found in shopping searches because Google is replacing the titles and descriptions I provide with Japanese language ones. The only items like this that appear in shopping results are those listed on eBay in a category that does not require a GTIN.

Is there any way to override/disable this?

That can only happen when you are in a grouped section than Google will use it's data base to display product data. However as you are targeting the UK, this should not be done.

I recommend you contact Google by email, with screenshots and full explenation. They in turn can get the tech team to look into this.

There is no way for you as a merchant to disable this as it is part of Google Shopping

Hope this helps.
