a checklist for automatic-item-updates using structured-data --

(1) be certain all google’s crawlers can crawl the website --
check the server's log files to be certain google is crawling
the site and items;

(2) during the feed update, be certain the data on the link
landing-page exactly matches the data being submitted
within the feed, exactly, for all ip-addresses and all users --
regardless of where the user is physically located;

(3) be certain the schema.org microdata passes google's
structured-data-testing-tool (richsnippets) and adheres
to google's best-practices for google-shopping microdata --
e.g. product-type, nested-offer, etc.

simply passing the structured-data-testing-tool is generally not enough.

(4) be certain the microdata is static on the page (e.g. not javascript);

(5) be certain there is one (and only one), single, offer on the page;

(6) be certain variants are pre-selected or have separate landing-pages;

(7) be certain automatic-item-updates is active within the account;

(8) be certain the item has a searchable status.

(9) during the feed update, be certain the data on the link
landing-page exactly matches the data being submitted
in the feed, exactly; generally, google will only use schema
data that is a slight mismatch between the submitted data
and the website during the crawl of the website;

(10) be certain microdata is not being used for excessive updates --
e.g. more than once a day, automatic currency exchange rates, etc.

major discrepancies or too frequent discrepancies are not allowed.

(11) be certain any sale_price data matches the price on the website.

(12) be certain the website's server and network

bandwidth can handle all google's crawl requests.

(13) be certain a feed has been submitted with proper, valid, data --
automatic-item-updates are designed for very small latency-based
discrepancies between the website and regular data (feed) updates;
automatic-item-updates is not, in any way, a replacement for data
(feed) updates or for regular updates of all required product data.

(14) check the diagnostics-tab of the merchant-center-account for any issues.

otherwise, forum members cannot look into feeds or accounts --
the best likely course would be to contact google directly:

Hi @Celebird

I know its been a while since your response but I'm having this issue now, not with availability but price, and read this:

(4) be certain the microdata is static on the page (e.g. not javascript);

I've tried with Google Tag Manager and seems to work, at least its OK on structured-data-testing-tool but still have that warning on Merchant Center account.

@winedancer, did you solve this issue?

Need help with this :c

Best,

as was indicated, this is a rather old thread.

structured-data may now be either microdata or json-ld --
json-ld is now recommended; but the data seen by google,

from the perspective of crawling, must still be static and

able to be crawled, at all times.

how the tags get on the page is rather irrelevant --
e.g. google-tag-manager, editing individual pages,
using an e-commerce system, etc.

neither the structured-data-testing-tool nor tag-manager, check any
of the rules and policies related to the automatic-item-updates feature
within the merchant-center-account, or the merchant-center rules for
shopping-ads, such as accurate in-stock availability of physical inventory,
or price related quality policies.

also, the issues tagged within the merchant-center-account
are historic, over 30-days, and can be delayed by 72-hours --

the warnings may not be accurate or up-to-date.

generally, the best likely course would be to check the structured-data,
the physical on-hand inventory and visible landing-page details, and the
submitted data, against all shopping-ad related rules and policies, and
then contact google directly; asking for a merchant-center/shopping-ads

support-specialist sometimes helps.

Hi @Celebird,

Thank you so much for your response! I'll try to request that static json and then, post and update.

Best,
