Mismatched XML tags - but not mismatched? Google shopping feed

I'm getting an error on line 4819 of mismatched xml tags.. That line is
, which is the ending of our xml feed.

This is my header:

QSC Products

Google Product Search Feed

This is my footer:

Is there something in the syntax that I'm doing wrong?

THank you!

I recommend, testing with 1 product, and submit it to Google Merchant as a test feed.

Unfortunately from the example provided it's not possible to find out your issue.

Most likely you have encoding issues. Make sure each value is encapsulated with CDATA > Google XML CDATA for explanation.

Also make sure all characters are UTF-8

Hope it helps.

Thank you for the quick reply. I have 96 approved products - that's what
was weird. It's accepting the feed, but still showing a warning about the
xml.

note that a normal "footer" does not have an ending item-tag.

generally, mismatched-tags due to an improper footer
or improper encoding or mixed encodings, or actual
mismatched tags, can still result in some or all items
being processed -- some potentially improperly or with
invalid attribute data.

google's feed-processing will sometimes attempt
to do-its-best to process invalid xml files --
the results are mostly undefined or unexpected.

however, forum-members cannot look into accounts or submitted data --
posting additional, specific, information here within the public forums,
may allow others to offer additional, specific, suggestions.

otherwise, the best likely course would be to contact google support,
so a person can look directly into the account and all submitted data.

Thank you very much! That ending tag was the end of the last item
in the feed. But I think you're right; I'll need to contact support. Thanks!
